We are a web agency and build websites using MODX. As most of the users we are huge fans of MODX. But if you are managing a lot of installations things get messy and time consuming. You have to keep up with security updates, have to create reliable backups, must be able to revert false installations and so on. If you don’t have automated processes it takes a lot of time.

Google announced (August 2014) that they started to rank https websites slightly better than http websites within their search algorithm. For now a mere 1% of websites will benefit from this change but in the future it could potentially increase the importance of https websites. We think it is time to move to https for companies that want to be taken seriously and that want to conduct online business with valued customers. As a web agency we need to be ahead of the trend and must lead the way for our clients, the recent google announcement just sparked the initiative.

How to animate images based on the cursor position using jQuery. Have you seen our former contact page? We had the rotating heads integrated. When I first wrote this post. That was state of the art for our page. But we advance fast. Hence the feature is gone. But we still love it and got great feedback from customers, friends and friendly developers.
